The AKRC Official Charity Partner Program offers an excellent opportunity for nonprofit organizations to raise funds to support their missions and services. Participating charities can offer guaranteed entry to runners who fundraise on their behalf in premier races.

Alaska Runners Club (AKRC) is committed to helping nonprofits change the state for the better through running and fitness. Our premier events are excellent opportunities for nonprofit organizations to raise funds that support their missions and services through our Official Charity Partner Program.
Nonprofits accepted into the Charity Partner Program are able to raise vital funds through runners looking to gain guaranteed entry into our sold-out premier events. AKRC partners with these nonprofits by offering them blocks of guaranteed entries plus other benefits. Runners can choose a charity they are passionate about and dedicate their run to a great cause.
Official Charity Partners are selected through an application process several months before the event. All charities must be registered 501(c)3 non-profits to apply. There is no application fee.

Running has the power to transform communities. That’s why AKRC is out there spreading our message of fitness and wellness wherever we can, from national symposia on childhood obesity to local health fairs, wellness expos, Park & Recreation events, and town festivals. We’ve even partnered with other Anchorage City organizations to teach taxi drivers exercises to do during their very sedentary days! Our activities get people thinking, moving, and motivated to make positive changes.
Join us at local events for light exercise, learning, discussion, and most importantly lots of fun. Whether you are taking the first steps in your fitness journey or already well versed in healthy habits, we have something for everyone.
Events are completely free and do not require a AKRC membership for participation. Programs include neighborhood walks and runs, Zumba sessions, cardio kickboxing classes, health fairs, and much more.
